Contract Specifications


A futures contract contains the following key information:

(1) Related assets: refers to the underlying assets corresponding to the futures contract

(2) Contract multiplier: The weight that is multiplied by the contracted price when calculating the contracted value. With HSI and H-Shares Index futures, the contract multiplier is $50 per index point, whereas in a mini-HSI futures contract, it is $10 per index point.

(3) Contract month: refers to the month of a futures contract shall be settled.

(4) Last trading day: The last day when a futures contract can be traded on an exchange.

(5) The first notice day (U.S. period): the day after which an investor who has purchased a futures contract may be required to take physical delivery of the contract's underlying commodity.
